Just released by 1040 Park Press and debut author KK Fairweather, The Girl in 29 Across is an inspirational fiction novel. The breezy novel details the life of Cait Collins, a beauty confused about her life path. The modeling work she does pays well, but doesn't fulfill her.
A chance meeting of an old high school acquaintance at a coffee shop helps lift her spirits, but her brother's return to town, while welcomed, also brings up their past and the childhood each of them try to forget.
Dealing with her cult-obsessed stepmother and a wickedly horrid event both set her reeling. With the power of love, she strengthens herself to clear out the bad and set her life on the path she'd always dreamed of, leaning into a future of hope.
The inspiring clean and wholesome romance is 20K words and has already garnered several good reviews.

“Hung over? Really? You don’t look it today,” said Bonita as she applied the final touches of makeup to Cait’s glowing face.
“I busted my you-know-what to detox,” said Cait. “I worked out twice in the last 24 hours and downed so much water; I had to get up to use the bathroom twice last night.”
“My husband swears by tomato juice and French fries”, said Bonita. “Whenever he has a boys-night-out, he has to have tomato juice and really salty fries the next day. In a few hours, he’s back to normal.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” said Cait, vowing not have another hangover for a long time. She stood up and smoothed the red velvet dress she wore for the Christmas shoot. It was September, but the holiday issue was already being prepared for the department store. As she walked to the set, she noticed a man staring at her from across the room. He had very blond hair and a chiseled jaw but instead of being handsome, he seemed stern. His cold his eyes followed her every move. Did she know him?
“Who’s that over there?” she asked the photographer who was busy checking lights.
“Hmm? Oh, I guess he works for the store,” he said absently dismissing him as he checked his light meter.
Cait had an uneasy feeling. She’d seen this man before. She was sure of it, although unsure where. It bothered her but by the time they’d started the shoot, he was gone. She forgot about it, but not for long.
About the author
KK Fairweather is a debut writer of fiction. Her new career comes after a successful run at working in a technical industry. She is married with a daughter and more furry “children.” She has plans to write more fiction and loves to particularly write inspiring and female-centric stories.
She lives in the sunny SW and is working on her next novel, due out late Fall 2015.

I enjoy reading a contemporary romance where the female in the story isn't some wet blanket or someone who is dominated throughout the book. This is one of the things that I appreciated the most about author KK Fairweather's "The Girl in 29 Across". The story of Cait, who is not particularly fulfilled with her life and begins to have a few encounters that offer opportunities to get over her past and to grow. She meets up with Matt in a coffee shop and the two reconnect on a much deeper level. Cait also begins to come to terms with some other family issues as the tale progresses. A very fulfilling and well written romance.Product details
